This study compares education funding across Nigeria’s geopolitical zones and selected African countries, linking budget allocations to WAEC enrollment and socioeconomic disparities. Using data from 2001–2019, it identifies underfunding as a key driver of poverty and inequality, recommending diversified funding strategies.
